Drama 101: Teen Edition – Grades 8 – 12 – Spring 2021 – 10 Weeks

In this drama class for the older student, we’ll be covering fundamental dramatic concepts with lots of focus on improvisation. Classes will be filled with fun games, activities, and lots of laughter! We’ll discuss topics like vocal projection, how to get into character, behind-the-scenes set-up (like sets, props, lighting, music, costumes, etc.), how to utilize the stage and props, how to improvise, how to deal with stage fright, how to memorize lines, and a bunch more.

Each lesson will focus on a different topic and will include a lecture & discussion portion followed by multiple games and activities to reinforce the lesson we learned that week.

Students will walk away knowing more about the basics of drama, feeling more comfortable on stage, and being improvise and act with more skill and confidence.
