LEGO Design: Building a Growth Mindset Winter A – 5-Weeks – Grades 1 – 6
Thursday, January 14 2021 @ 11:00AM - Thursday, February 11 2021 @ 12:30PM EST| $125.00
This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of a growth mindset. Learning new things can be challenging and mindset matters! Understanding the differences between a growth and fixed mindset can help kids make the switch from “I’m bad at math (reading, spelling, etc.)” to “I will work hard and know that my effort will pay off in time.” Together we will explore how challenges make our brains stronger, the powerful magic of mistakes, and the incredible power of… YET!
Kids speak the language of play and interacting with LEGO bricks can help reinforce the development of a growth mindset. Classes will consist of group discussion and written exercises; homework will consist of original LEGO build assignments and short written assignments.
