LEGO Design Series: Mission to Earth’s Moon – Grades 2 – 5 – Fall 2020
Tuesday, September 15 2020 @ 11:00AM - Tuesday, December 15 2020 @ 12:30PM EDT| $250.00
It is the year 2050 and so much remains unknown about Earth’s moon. NASA is preparing a team of astronauts to create a moon base and your student has been chosen for this assignment in space.
Together, we will explore the differences between life on earth and on the moon. We will learn about the history of space travel and study the lives of the astronauts who first set foot on Earth’s moon. We will seek answers to questions about how students will meet their basic needs during their mission. Students will EXPLORE new ideas together; CREATE a unique moon base with LEGO bricks; and SHARE projects with classmates.
Students will be introduced to real-world STEM concepts and gain an understanding of the engineering design process. Students will employ the engineering design process while creating a LEGO moon base, designed to sustain life during a mission to Earth’s moon.
Registration deadline is August 15, 2020.
There must be a minimum of 5 students to run this class.
