In the picture book, Miss Rumphius, Alice was told at a very young age that she should try to make the world a better place.

In this class, Eva Goldstein-Meola, will read this award winning book, Miss Rumphius, by Barbara Cooney.  After the read-a-loud, we will discuss ways to make this world a better place to live.  Then, students will write down there of their own ideas (using pictures, writing, inventive spelling etc.) and if time allows, each student will share their favorite idea with the class!

I am opening this class up to FIRST GRADER and SECOND GRADERS.  If you register a first or second grader, please make sure they UNDERSTAND how to use a virtual classroom OR the parent should be  sitting by them!  While I am teaching, I can not help with technical problems that may arise!

Students should have:

  • white lined paper to write three ways they can make the world a better place
  • white 8 x 11 plain paper for final draft
  • a pencil
  • colored pencils, colored markers OR colored gel pens
  • Access to turn on webcam and microphone (not mandatory) if we have time to share our masterpieces!

15 available seats in every class.
Minimum five students to run ANY class.
Tuition: FREE

Registration is a COMMITMENT as these classes are FREE and you are taking a seat from another interested student.

Class to last between 30 – 60 minutes depending on content and instructor.
Our goal is to have your children learn something NEW!!!

Please ONLY register for those which are DEVELOPMENTALLY appropriate for your child.
NO homework given – but follow up ideas shared for parents to implement.

We are only posting a week’s worth of classes at a time as we are not sure of the “situation” In the world beyond that. This is to help parents with homeschooling at a time of “uncertainty”.

Families will be sent a LINK 24 hours before class. This is how your child will enter the classroom.
YOU MUST USE GOOGLE CHROME to enter the classroom. Please install this before your first class.

We hope to see you there!
