Monday, September 14 2020 @ 1:00PM - Monday, December 14 2020 @ 2:30PM EDT| $250.00
Advances in technology are not achieved in a vacuum; more often than not, these innovations are the result of the combined efforts of many different people collaborating across both distance and time. This course focuses on ten technological innovations that truly have had a global and societal impact, along with an introduction to those people who were involved throughout the process. The world of technology is a vast and multifaceted place. With that in mind, each class session will focus on a different topic covering various scientific disciplines which will open your mind to new ideas, concepts, and possibilities.
This is an interdisciplinary history of the sciences class which bridges and integrates the various sciences. We will be learning to take ‘mind-mapping notes’ as we study in order to better develop an understanding and retention of key concepts.
This class seeks to foster greater familiarity with and appreciation for key developments in modern technology, and how they in turn inspire our own creativity.
Registration deadline is August 15, 2020.
There must be a minimum of 5 students to run this class.
